We have hired Rob Di Vita from National Property Buyers to buy properties for us in the past. When we went to sell our home of 20 years I thought we didn’t need a “vendor advocate”.
However after meeting our first real estate agent we already find ourselves lacking trust in them, after only one meeting, I thought we had nothing to lose by appointing Rob. It was the best decision I have made in a long time. Rob was our point of contact through the emotional and exhausting sale process. He understood the price we wanted for our house and set about instructing the agent to get that price or above. We actually failed to reach our reserve of $1,050,000 at auction but still had a good offer of $1 million. Rob suggested we relaunch with a private sale and was still hopeful we would get the price we wanted.
He rightly said that houses often sell in the week after the auction. After the auction I was exhausted and quite frankly ready to take any serious offer. If I was dealing directly with an agent at this stage I’m sure I would have given in to the pressure to sell at auction.
However Rob continued to push the agent and Monday week after our auction, we had 2 people privately bidding for our house up to the price of $1,180,000. It was incredible. If it wasn’t for Rob I would have accepted the auction bid of $1,000,000. If I hadn’t of accepted this, the agent would have convinced me to accept around this price within the next week and he wouldn’t have continued to work hard to get our required price.
I can thank Rob for truely being our advocate. Long after I was exhausted and wanted to give up Rob was still running the campaign and being an advocate for me. I can honestly say he made an extra $180,000 for us and this has made a huge difference to our lives and I will be forever thankful.

I would like to write a quick note about my experience with National Property Buyers and Brenton Potter in particular. This was my first experience in selling my home and I didn’t know what a Vendor Advocate was until my son explained the service to me. After going through the process and achieving a great result I don’t know why anyone looking to sell their property wouldn’t utilise this great service.
Brenton was amazing, he walked me through the whole process, was always available and was polite, professional, punctual and nothing was too much to ask from him.

When we decided to put our house on the market we thought we were fairly well informed in regards to auctions and estate agents, having gone through a long four month ‘house hunt’ with our daughter. We interviewed several Real Estate Agents but soon found we never felt entirely confident or comfortable with them.
We approached Lisa Stafford, a Vendor’s advocate from National Property Buyers and sought her advice in choosing an Estate Agent. She set straight to work, testing the waters with the Agents we had chosen plus some of her own. We attended several auctions with Lisa, run by the short listed agents and it soon became apparent that there was one standout choice, Lisa’s recommendation.
Lisa was available to help us ‘stage’ our home and educated us in the importance small touches and some big ones, made to the overall effect of our home and the impact they have on a potential buyer. Lisa also attended the first photo shoot and then again when we had a 3D shoot done. She ensured that our house was showcased in the best possible light – something she has an amazing talent for.
Lisa was very knowledgeable and gave us sensible, genuine advice throughout the whole campaign. She worked completely in our interest and we were kept informed of all developments. When a potential buyer was found Lisa guided us in our decision to sell before auction and ensured that the top end of our selling price was met and with good conditions.
I would like to thank Lisa for all her time and effort. I sincerely do not believe the sale would have been anywhere near as smooth, or as successful, had it not been for her. I would not hesitate recommending Lisa to anyone intending to sell their home. It can be an emotional time, especially when it is the family home and Lisa was forever courteous of our feelings and helped us to make an informed and unemotional decision in the end.

When Paul and I decided to sell our property we were a little nervous because the house was in need of repairs.
We started by visiting real estate agents and attending auctions just to get an idea of how much we should expect to receive when we were to sell it. It can be stressful dealing with real estate agents as they all give you a different opinion.
Our friend, Aris, told us about National Property Buyers in Balwyn and how good they were at helping with buying and selling property.
We were very skeptical but thought we would give it a try.

Working with Lisa Stafford a buyer’s advocate from National Property Buyers was a great experience. The advice she provided the vendor contributed towards a great campaign.
Lisa helped the vendor with styling/staging of her home and explained the importance of doing this to ensure the best possible return. Lisa was also available to attend the photo shoot of which she was able to assist with accent pieces. This certainly made a difference to the quality and look of photos.
